It was great to see so many of you at our Summer show and all of the industry events last week! From the Accessories Council and American Craft Council, to the New Designer Gallery and Inner Circle, the show floor was buzzing, and New York City as a whole was host to so many industry players! Our exhibitors pulled out all of the stops, showcasing their latest and greatest, while the retailers were raving about discovering new designers on the floor and seeing incredible pieces from some their long-time favorites.

Alexis Kletjian was presented with the 2016 Mort Abelson New Designer of the Year Award; an amazing achievement considering the incredible roster of designers that were in the running this year. We also presented the third installment of The Big Pitch, where 10 JA New York designers had the opportunity to present their lines to an extremely discerning panel, which included Chad Berg, Scot Congress, Marion Fasel, Meaghan Flynn, Marthe Le Van and Marco Miserendino. This group volunteered their time in order to offer invaluable advice to some of the industry’s most exciting new talent, and we’re so thankful that they are a part of the JA New York Community.

With all of the special events taking place in New York City throughout the week, it was great to come together as a community in so many social settings; we made new friends, and caught up with old, and we’re already looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
