JA New York: What about Jewelry as an art form are you drawn to in particular?
Barbara Cieslicki: I am drawn to the challenges inherent in creating great jewelry. The creation of beautiful jewelry that has aesthetic and structural integrity is just the beginning. I find that the bigger challenge is the creation of jewelry that, when worn, becomes even more beautiful and also(almost as if by magic)transforms the wearer’s appearance.
JA New York: What inspires your designs?
BC: My aesthetic is deeply rooted in the art and culture of the early and mid 20th century,in particular the Modernist movement.
JA New York: Instagram or Facebook?
BC: Instagram
JA New York: If you got a one-way ticket to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
BC: I would go to Ireland because the rich culture, the breathtaking land, the great people, and fabulous beer make me feel really alive!
