The holiday season is upon us – a time of twinkling lights, bustling stores, and calendars packed with family gatherings and industry celebrations. Yet at its aspirational best, the holidays offer a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the things that truly bring us fulfillment. I like to call this a “Grateful Pause.”
Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday, embodies this idea beautifully. It is the one day a year when everyone in America is part of a shared tradition, setting aside differences for a long weekend of togetherness. Whether gathered around a table or simply appreciating the small joys in life, Thanksgiving reminds us to focus on gratitude.
For me, that gratitude begins with the incredible relationships I have been fortunate enough to build in the jewelry industry. It extends to my family, my friends, and my wonderful Emerald colleagues who inspire and support me every day. And yes, I am selfishly grateful for the opportunities Black Friday and Cyber Monday bring to excite consumers about jewelry! 😊
But the beauty of a Grateful Pause is that it does not need to be tied to a specific holiday or moment. Every time we take a moment to appreciate the good in our lives—whether it is the laughter of a friend, a meaningful connection, or the sparkle of a diamond—we create our own Thanksgiving. The more we practice gratitude, the easier it becomes to recognize and cherish even the little things.
So, as we enter this holiday season, I invite you to embrace the spirit of a Grateful Pause. Reflect on what brings you joy and fulfillment. Let that positivity carry you through the busy weeks ahead.
I wish everyone a healthy, happy, and successful holiday season. May it be full of warmth, cheer, and moments that remind you of all there is to be grateful for. And as we look ahead to the JA New York Spring Show in March, I look forward to sharing a Grateful Pause with all of you.
With gratitude,
