Designer Sam Woehrmann (yes, that Sam!) was lured into jewelry design by his lifelong passion for both mathematics, and gemstones. As his work has evolved, Sam has continued to be intrigued by both the colors of the various gemstones he uses, as well as their crystal structures. He also loves the process of manipulating metals with a precision that helps him realize his vision. We’re thrilled to welcome Sam back to our upcoming Spring show, so we caught up with him to get a little insight into his brand and discovered another key to his heart–any kind of eating activity!
JA New York: Words that describe your brand DNA?
Sam Woehrmann: Clean; Modern; Bold; Playful
JA New York: What is your trade show uniform?
SW: Jeans, t-shirt, and blazer with a nice pendant.
JA New York: What is your guilty pleasure?
SW: Indulging my sweet tooth. Really any kind of eating activity.
JA New York: Tech must have?
SW: iPhone, I run most of my business through it, along with keeping in touch with so many wonderful people.
JA New York: Favorite cities?
SW: San Francisco, where I call home. I also love coming to New York and Santorini is probably the most beautiful place I’ve traveled to.
JA New York: What’s your most prized possession?
SW: Some of the jewelry pieces I made for my Mother while she was alive.
If you had a super power it would be….?
SW: The ability to fly.
JA New York: Who is your dream celebrity client?
SW: Jennifer Lawrence, I love that she seems down to earth, but has an effortless style and great sense of humor.
