Designer Shari Cuartero named her collection, Olivia B, after her greatest source of inspiration, her daughter. Shari began her career in her hometown of New York City, where she graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology. She went on to design, and then merchandise and work in product development, for a variety of fine jewelry manufacturers. Ultimately driven to express her own creative vision, Shari launched Olivia B in 2016. In her collection, vibrant colorful gemstones take center stage, which she sets in 14k gold, often combining unique shapes and sizes, resulting in chic, sophisticated statement pieces.

SC: Mostly black, loose fitting and easy to move in

SC: I love my ear buds

JA New York: Favorite cities?

SC: New York City will always be my favorite, but San Francisco, Seattle, Florence and Bangkok are also up there.

JA New York: your most prized possession?

SC: photos taken over the years of places, family and friends.

JA New York: If you had a Super Power, what would it be?

SC: The ability to teleport!

JA New York: You have a one-way ticket, you’re going….?

SC: I don’t think I would want to go anywhere one way. As much as I love to travel, home is my favorite place.

JA New York: I won’t leave home without __________?

SC: My glasses!
