There are some things that never go out of style–a little black dress, a classic strand of pearls and of course, lockets. As popular now as they were in the Victorian Age, lockets are memory keepers that are both personal and fashionable, and one JA New York designer has practically cornered the market on these covetable pieces. Designer Monica Rich Kosann‘s unique path towards jewelry design began as a fine art photographer. She later began creating pieces that were intended to hold photographs that she sold to jewelry stores. Monica’s goal has always been to integrate her client’s most precious moments into their daily lives, so designing lockets was a natural progression towards that end. To this day, with every piece Monica creates she asks herself, “Can a woman give this piece to her daughter in 20 years?” As you can see with these lockets–adorned with diamonds and gemstones or engraved with meaning–the answer to that queston is a resounding “yes!”
