JA New York: How long have you been designing jewelry?

JA New York: What about jewelry as an art form are you drawn to in particular?

JS: I love working with my hands, watching the piece come to life, and love adorning women, watching them stand perhaps a little taller, help them feel their power and beauty.

JA New York: What inspires your designs?

JS: Where I’m living, presently now Florida, the sky, thunderstorms, all the birds, Dolphins, manatees..the stones have always inspired me, I started working with them when I was 12. And travel, spent quite a bit of time in Turkey, loved the architecture and colors there.

JA New York: Instagram or Facebook?

JS: I’ve just started Instagram about 2 weeks ago

JA New York: If you got a one-way plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

JS: Ah, that’s a hard one to answer…have always wanted to go to India! My guru is there…would love to go snorkeling in Indonesia, and spend time there…
