Q Evon designer, Suzanne Q. Evon, considers herself a “Refined Rebel.” While she began designing at the age of 8 years old, her journey to jewelry design was not straightforward. While modeling in New York City, she began studying at Parsons School of Design where she learned metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication techniques. With an expansive worldview informed by her international travels, she is endlessly inspired by the world around her, as well as moments in time, both past and present, that she encapsulates into her work.
The drive to create that she had as a child has never waned, and though she has greatly expanded her business over the years, that 8 year old that was turning gummy bears into pieces of jewelry has remained intact. Intent on creating wearable works of art that stand the test of time, she is equally committed to ethical practices at all touchpoints of her business. She has a close partnership with artisans in a fair trade, family-owned business in India, who cut stones and manufacture pieces to her exacting specifications, allowing collectors of her work to feel sexy, empowered and excited for their own next adventure.
